In-Home Nursing
In-Home Nursing services are particularly helpful for chronic diseases, and may include a variety of accommodations and reliefs. Depending on the level of care needed, both skilled and unskilled In-Home Nursing Care may be provided on a monthly, weekly, or even 24/7 basis. This one-on-one skilled care is provided by a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) that may administer care that includes (but is not limited to):
Unskilled care, performed by a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or a Home Health Aide (HHA), may include (but is not limited to):
- Comprehensive clinical assessment and interventions
- Administration & management of medication
- Administration & management of durable medical equipment
- Performing wound care and dressing changes
- Performing personal hygiene tasks
- Assisting with ambulation and range of motion exercises
- Preparing meals and following prescribed MD order diet
- Feeding
- Preventing falls
- Monitoring various vital signs
- Management of various disorders
- Management of patient safety and care
- Performing palliative care
- Caring for genetic disorders/chronic health conditions/cancers
- Improving and maintaining quality of life by assistance of covered conditions
Unskilled care, performed by a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or a Home Health Aide (HHA), may include (but is not limited to):
- Personal care
- Meal preparation
- Ambulation
- Dressing
- Feeding
- Light housekeeping
